Navy Transitions & Rocksbox

Necklace: Gorjana c/o Rocksbox // Bracelet: House of Harlow c/o of Rocksbox // Jumpsuit: Reiss (and here) // Trench: Topshop // Clutch: Clare Vivier // Shoes: Zara (similar here) // Lip: Stila 'Fiore' // Nails: Dutch Tulips

Happy Monday! Navy is one of my favorite colors to wear because it has the same chic factor as black but it is so much softer. I fell in love at first sight with this navy Reiss jumpsuit that has proven to be a perfect transitional piece for the spring. Not only is it perfect for this time of year, I imagine it will look great with wedges and gold accessories come the summer months, and work well into to fall with a leather jacket.

Throughout my blog I have repeatedly insisted on the ability to wear navy and black together, so for this particular navy monochromatic outfit I accessorized with black, cream and touches of gold jewelry. My dainty Gorjana neckline and House of Harlow  bracelet are apart of the monthly jewelry subscription Rocksbox. Every month Rocksbox sends you new designer jewelry to wear until you are ready to return it-- aka the perfect solution to never get bored with that same old statement necklace. And, if you love your new piece so much that you can't think of parting with it, you have the option to buy at a discounted price. Trust me, the concept is addicting and the best part is Rocksbox is gifting TQLC readers one month free with the code christinaxoxo2.  So check it out and have a great rest of your week. 70's Basics

Jeans: Madewell // Blouse: Zara (similar here) // Bag: Zara (similar here) // Sunnies: Rayban

As much as I love my skinny jeans, I am kind of thrilled that flares are back in full force for the season. I have often sung the praises of Madewell denim at its impeccable fit...well, their flares are no exception. They are snug and loose in all of the right places and they never stretch out. The medium wash is the perfect shade of denim for spring and I also love the look of the high waisted rise. I wanted to keep my outfit minimal so I paired my throw-back denim with a simple white tie blouse that also has a vintage vibe. I love the simplicity of a white blouse and blue jeans, but to add a little fun while keeping things neutral I went with my grey fringe bag. I hope you are having a great Monday, and thank you as always for reading.

Blue // Blue

Bag: c/o Hayden Harnett // Pants: J.Crew // Top: J.Crew // Jacket: J.Crew // Shoes: J.Crew // Lips: J.Crew

Do you ever have that moment when you see a new item online and you absolutely know that it must be yours? Panic ensues as you check the sizes to make sure yours is still available. Well, that is kind of the scenario that played out when I saw these blue printed pumps. They especially look great with my metallic sweatpants and a trusty denim jacket. This somewhat monochromatic outfit works is well and doesn't come off as too matchy thanks to the distinctively different textures and shades blue. However these shoes will play with other colors than just blue...think yellow, pink, orange, and silver. I think it is official that they are my current spring wardrobe muse and it excites me how many things these pumps will effortlessly pair with in my closet.

Speaking of spring, I have been searching for the perfect work to weekend bag for the new season. I love how this buttery Hayden Harnett bag is big enough to fit all of my essentials like my computer and a change of flats, but it is not too bulky. I also love the fact that it is reversible! I am wearing it on the white side, but you can easily turn it inside out to reveal a metallic silver. Too bags in one? Not too shabby.

On a side note, check out my friend Lauren's blog, she just went to NYC this past weekend for a Lucky Magazine and Polyvore collaboration... and I couldn't be prouder of her! Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great Wednesday, only two more days until the weekend!

On the Fringe

Skirt: ASOS // Shirt: Cameo // Shoes: Schutz // Belt: J.Crew (old, similar here and on sale! ) // Bag: Vintage Chanel // Sunnies: Italia Independent

Happy Monday! Is it just me or is fringe everywhere right now? Maybe it was the Chanel show in Dallas last year that brought about this fun trend. Normally wouldn't describe my personal style as bohemian or southwestern for that matter, but I love how fringe adds a a little dose of Americana whimsy to my wardrobe. I paired my suede statement skirt with office appropriate extras that tone it down while simultaneously allowing it to stand out. Not to mention there is something about a pencil skirt that makes me feel  ready to conquer my Monday! I hope you are having a great day yourself, and thank you as always for reading.

Gingham for Spring

Pants: Zara (similar here and here)// Jacket: Zara (similar long version here and adorable gingham top here) ( // Shoes: Zara (similar here) // Bag: Celine // Blazer: H&M // Sunglasses: Italia Independent // Lips: Dior

Hello and happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great mid-week; It has been a crazy busy week for me! I just moved into a new place last weekend and I am still in the midst of trying to get everything in order. Balancing decorating/organizing with work, friends, and of course blogging can leave a girl feeling ready for the weekend by Tuesday. But amongst all of the drama of the day-to-day I manage to find myself dedicated to the pursuit of my latest conquest: my spring wardrobe.

Yes, it is this time of year when the world sheds it's wool layers to reveal a plethora of pastel cottons, fun patterns, and airy neutrals. One of the biggest spring trends that has caught my eye is Gingham. Though Gingham is a classic prepster pattern, it adds an element of "Gigi at the Country Club" without looking dowdy. I love it worn as an all-over print as seen here, or for a more subtle take, gingham is the perfect pattern for a pump! So give gingham a try and have a great rest of your week.

Menswear Match

Trench: Topshop // Pants: Topshop // Bag: c/o Ann Taylor // Shirt: Zara (old, similar here) // Shoes: Zara (similar here) // Sunnies: Rayban // Lips: Maybeline

Happy Monday! It seems that the tiniest bit of Spring has begun to creep into the DC area. I am sure this doesn't seem accurate based on the pile of snow a my feet...but I can't assure you, I need at least temperatures of 50 degrees or more to sport a crop top. Speaking of which, I chose this ivory top to add playfulness to an otherwise androgynous look. Matched sets and floaty pants are big this season, so finding both in one outfit was a win. I will also be breaking up these pieces and wearing them separately with everything from white denim to dresses. I hope everyone has a great start to the week and as always, thank you for reading!
